"Better late than Never"

An age old saying we all are too familiar with.

So often heard, but rarely deeply thought about.

If you are familiar with the word Manifestation, you most likely are also well acquainted with the sensation of frustration. Specifically related to a thought along the lines of "HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE!?"

You meditated. You visualized. You wrote down your desires in the present tense. You expressed gratitude for the things not yet seen. You attended the 1/11, 2/22 portal workshop. You declared your intentions in that online group. You wore the fuck out of that Amethyst crystal. You eliminated the word 'cannot' from your spoken, written and mental vocabulary. You did the quantum manifesting hypnosis on YouTube 8 times. You talked with The Universe/God/Source for days on end.

Like... what the actual fuck else are you supposed to do?

Where are the manifestations?

So then usually the feeling of disappointment creeps up. You reconsider your intentions. Wonder if 'they are out of alignment'. Ask if this is some kind of test. Ponder your worthiness. Relentlessly look for answers from gurus on Instagram. Browse all the Reddit threads. You try and figure out what you did 'wrong'.

After finding no answer, then comes the apathy. You decide to just give up and move on with your life. Because this endless waiting is driving you insane, making you feel more depressed than anything else...

Some time passes, you forget about those desires. You're now just living your normal, boring, basic, realistic life. Doing the adulting thing. Life happens, one thing after the other occurs. No magical sign from the universe appears. It's just life.

Then out of the blue, a small thought creeps in. A tiny moment of reflection. A faint whisper. You glance back at life as it was just 'happening'. And then you get SMACKED in the face with the realization: Those things you forgot about, they happened! WTF? How did you not notice them in the moments they were happening?

The answer: Because you were simply being present. You weren't looking for magical distractions from your everyday, human existence. You just were. You embodied the "I AM" in those moments. You were just YOU.

This is then the moment when we finally click and understand the thing of "Let those manifestations go", "detach from the outcome". The surrounding concept and principle of "you find love, when you are not looking for it or least expecting it" finally makes sense, not because you listened to some guru, but because you lived and experienced it for yourself.

Those moments were in fact not as 'magical' as you visualized them, simply because that is life. Life comes with the good and bad. The high and the low. We love to talk about how life is always in balance, yet rarely do we understand what that means. A balanced scale is neither 'high' nor 'low'. It is perfectly equal. Perfectly unremarkable in balance. Perfectly balancing the ton of Glowing Angel Feathers and the ton of Pale Ashes.

The Takeaway:

Next time you want to 'manifest', remember those moments when you got exactly what you wanted, yet it wasn't in the way you thought it would be and you didn't even realize you got it until you looked back in hindsight. If you want to express genuine gratitude, do it for these moments. As there is then no internal cognitive dissonance. No sense of deceiving yourself. No doubt. Because it ACTUALLY HAPPENED! YOU ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED IT! YOU LIVED IT!

Let this be a reminder to take the pressure off of Yourself, The Universe and your Manifestation. From this point of view, we can then finally understand "giving in to the unknown" and "surrendering to the Universe".

Maybe next time, instead of making such a huge deal of your desire, just think about it in a manner similar to:

"I feel like watching a movie tonight."

"I feel like going for a walk."

"I'm going to make myself a cup of coffee when I wake up tomorrow morning."

"Oh yeah, I'm alive and breathing."

Let it be a fleeting thought in your everyday life. Not a high. Not a low. Just an experience as wonderfully simple as scrolling through your phone.

Because THAT is the balance of duality. THAT is making the unremarkable, WONDERFUL.
